Topic of the day? COMMITMENT ISSUES.

Honest to God, we all have them, right???

Like how I tried to set a schedule for myself & said I’d be posting every 3 days – but my last post was on Sept. 3 ( I’m so sorry, ugh ).

Or like how last week you probably swore that you’d start to eat healthier, but you totally ate not one, but TWO cookies the other day after lunch. & if you’re anything like me when I was trying to diet, you’d do it all over again the next Monday … & the next after that … because dieting doesn’t really work.

& it’s fine. Commitment is hard, & it’s a problem that everyone struggles with at least one time in their lives, in one form or another.

A Gym Membership : The Answer to Your Problems

gym{ it all starts with some cardio … }

One way I was able to get over my commitment issues with wellness? Getting a gym membership.

I mean, even Drake agrees :

“Problems hit the gym, they all work out.”

It’s true. Because, you PAY for a gym membership. It’s not free. You get unlimited access to all of those lovely workout machines, group-training classes, pools / hot tubs, sauna / steam rooms, & even freakin’ towel service because you spend cold, hard cash on it EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH. Heck, even if you’re using your college’s gym, your tuition still cost lots of $$$.

With this mentality in mind, I convinced myself to hit the gym every available night I had. Often, this meant 7 days a week. While people were eating out or going on dates, I was working on myself. πŸ˜‰

& I don’t regret any of it. Once you start working out, you stop feeling like crap. & once you stop feeling like crap, you most likely will stop eating like crap. You’d say to yourself : I just spent 2 hours working my ass off. Do I really need to eat a donut at 1 AM? NOPE.

There are other ways to treat yourself, I promise. Like FINALLY being able to zip up that new dress you just bought. Or rewarding yourself with an episode of New Girl ( because Jess is your spirit animal ). Or cuddling with your dog ( nothing’s cuter ).

I mean, why reward yourself with food? You’re not a dog!

But really, try it. Make the plunge & sign up for that gym membership. & make the effort to actually commit to it.

Pretty soon, you’ll be well on your way to wellness.

& then, if it’s what you’re aiming for? Weight loss

I HIGHLY recommend it.
