MINDLESSNESS. Let’s talk about it.

Y’know, the things we do everyday that are kinda not stimulating … AT ALL?

I’m talking : sitting in the car, binge-watching Netflix, or scrolling through social media.

& hell, let’s add staring at the screen overwhelmed by icky WRITER’S BLOCK to that list.

It’s funny because I had just spent the past 2 hours racking my brain for ideas – until the very act of me wasting my own damn time & grasping for straws sparked up this post.

… Yes, it has been one of THOSE days.

Everyday, we do things that aren’t very stimulating … AT ALL. To cut out that sort of mindlessness, I want to explain the ways I’m killing two birds with one stone to maximize efficiency & REALLY bring value to my time, always. Click through now to learn how!{ take flight & take action }

Really, what I should have done was to ditch the mindlessness & take some action ( inspiration WILL come! ) … whether it was to squeeze in a quick workout, read a couple chapters of a book, or just to get out of my chair.

ANYTHING to cut out the energy-draining mindlessness that I feel like happens so often nowadays w/ the amount of technology we’re so easily able to get our hands on.

Annoying because if you know me you know I LOVE efficiency.

Crave it, cherish it, whatever. I always want to make sure my time is my time & that I’m using it wisely!

APPROPRIATE – because I feel like my mind literally never stops whirring, whether it’s dreaming up an idea, self-reflecting, or soaking things up like a sponge to learn something new.

Kinda psycho but also kinda LOVE IT … unless I’m trying to sleep & it’s 3 AM & the thoughts keep coming.

That’s why I’m such a huge advocate of killing two birds w/ one stone – it’s just so effective, y’know?

This way of “multi-tasking” is EVERYTHING.

I’m not talking about biting off more than you can chew – I’m talking about things like Netflix + cardio, reading a book to relax + learning something new, fixing up a quickie snack + dreaming up skinny recipes to share on the blog, or eating + reading about current events.

IDEAL, right?

It’s not so much multi-tasking as it is making sure that whatever you’re doing with your seconds, minutes, & hours will help you in some way. That it will provide VALUE.

As in, if I’m scrolling through Instagram, I want to be following accounts that inspire me, motivate me, or leave me w/ positivity. If I’m catching up on the latest episode of Suits, I might as well be eating – something that I HAVE to do at least 3x a day – no starving for me! If I’m writing a blog post … I want to make sure that you babes have something to take away by the time you X out the site.

Ya feel?

I’m not about wasting everyone’s damn time.

Okay, now I want to hear about what you guys are doing to kill two birds w/ one stone. Cliche aside, it’s effective, right? xo!

ALSO not to be creepy w/ these birds but can we talk about these two lovebirds??? :
