I’ve been working hard at the gym all summer – & the biggest change I noticed is how much better my tummy looks in my clothes.

Like I definitely don’t have a six pack … but it’s actually FIRM & not very jiggly at all.

As a girl living in southern California, it’s no surprise that I frequent beaches. Or have to brave through 100Β°F weather. Or maybe go out to a concert / music fest.

& during the summer? Hot & sweaty gets taken to a whole OTHER level. 

Crop tops, bikinis, bralettes, the like – they’re summer staples that totally fill up my closet. 

The BIGGEST dilemma, though? Having so many things to wear but feeling super nervous about belly fat.

This summer, I finally learned to get over this. Confidence is key. If you want to, just go ahead & wear it.

It’s your life, y’know?

& since you’re in control … it’s important to note that dreams & wishes don’t come true unless you work for them!

We can’t choose where the weight we lose comes from … What we CAN do is tighten it up so it’s barely even noticeable.

So, before sunny beach days, music festivals like Hard Summer, & concerts like Flume, I worked ab exercises to tighten up – EVERY SINGLE DAY – & I got results!


 TSL’s QUICK & SIMPLE AB-TONING

β˜€οΈ Running :

Running is really just a test of endurance & perseverance. It can be tough, but it’s an aspect of fitness you really can’t go without – kind of like your ride-or-die best friend. In fact, let’s just think of running like a friendship. The more you spend time improving it, the more you’ll like it. 

& yes, this is coming from someone who used to really, really, REALLY hate running. I won’t go as far to say that I LOVE it now, but the feeling you get after a successful running sesh? Nothing is more satisfying.

When running, especially if you’re just starting out or if you’re trying to increase your distance, you’d probably feel some soreness in your abs – a.k.a. you’re getting a hella good workout there.

β˜€οΈ Ab Coaster :

There are a ton of machines out there that work out your abs. One of my faves is the Ab Coaster.

Not gonna lie, it’s actually fun to use ( ha, imagine that! ).

Basically, you simply kneel on the pad & move forward & backward along the curved track, over & over again, while contracting your abs & being careful not to use your arms to pull yourself.

The best part : it doesn’t strain your neck or your lower back. It also works on your obliques, so it’s pretty versatile.

β˜€οΈ Crunches :

These are really basic & simple – & if we’re being honest, you’ve probably done these at school since you were like 5.

Seriously, THEY WORK.

& if you find yourself on a busy sched or on a total time crunch ( HA! ), theseee WILL save your life … & they only take a couple of minutes.

I prefer to do my crunches on an abdominal trainer. I find it easier, but that could just be me.

Whenever I know that there’s a specific event coming up that calls for tighter / skimpier clothes, my ab workouts get more intense.

It might be really exhausting & I may hate myself the morning after … But if you ask me if it were worth it? HELL to the YES.

& when you see yourself in the mirror after a sweaty workout? You totally won’t regret.

& you know what they say … seeing is believing. πŸ˜‰
